British designer Jeanette Farrier began her career as a costume designer for film and television. While visiting India in the early 2000s, she discovered colorful blankets quilted from vintage cotton saris. Impressed by the care taken to use everything and waste nothing, she began designing one-of-a-kind throws made from  the textiles she collected.
